ReplyDeleteAnthony, Very embarrassing...This time I long..4got then you mention that!
ReplyDeleteThree months ago it was just a dream....340 ex-KGSS converging at S'wak club. Our beloved Mrs Ngiam started the spark, Thomas and the team is making it a reality.
ReplyDeleteTo my former teachers and school mates, I am where I am today because of you.All I can say is,
"terima kasih". See you at the BB.
Hi, Guys & Gals, the day with hours, minutes & seconds are drawing nearer and my heart beat is pumping fast.....and Why?....cos' I'll be transforming from a 50+ year old into a 13 - 15 year old youngster just like the movie 'Back To The Future'. Tomorrow night for me will be a night of "Hello', How are you? 'Nice to know you', 'Oh!! soooo this is you', 'Long Time No See', 'Welcome to BB', 'Glad To Know You', 'You Look Great', 'You Still Look The Same', 'You Look Pretty' and many, many more......"LOVE YOU ALL" cute guys & gals of KTGSS
ReplyDeleteHi, Thomas & Gang....are you aware that your first posting in the blog was made on a Friday, November 13, 2009 @ 1:08pm.......(FRIDAY 13th)... and it is not an unlucky day but a very lucky day.......and WOW!!!!..the response to the BB2010 is very successful and fantastic with 238 attendance.
ReplyDeleteDear former teachers, classmates, school-mates & friends of the Pioneers Years of KTSS,
ReplyDeleteBeing a proud ex-townian, myself, I am much eager to attend the reunion function on this coming 17th Feb. to meet my old pals of the 70s.
However, I am very sorry to inform you all, especially those groups who knew me well; that I am not able to attend the reunion out of repect for my father's passing away on 7th Feb.
And in remembrance of my belated father, I wish to contribute a token amount of RM 2,000 towards the fund-raising of PTS of KTSS. ( as initiated by Mr. Sim Siong Moh- you can collect the cheque from me)
I wish all my Chinese Townians "A Happy & Prosperous New Year of the Tiger"
GONG XI FA CAI to eveyone!
From: Chang Sin Fook
A member of Class Earth- 1970-71 & Class Mercury-1972
Sin Fook,
ReplyDeleteThough we haven't met but Isabella and i wish to convey our condolence on your dad's demise. God bless his soul.
You can always pop in for a visit on your own, or give us a tinkle so that we can look out for you and bring you on a tour too. We truly appreciate your kind gesture in contributing the amount mentioned; whatever is the outcome of the Milo Tin, i believe Siong Moh and the PTA will figure out the most viable project to commemorate the pioneers' aspirations for your beloved alma mater.
Sin Fook,
ReplyDeleteOn behalf of the organising committee(BB2010), all townians & teachers,we convey our deepest sympathy & heartfelt condolence to you and family on the sad demise of your beloved father on 7th February,2010.We are sure that many us would continue to offer our thoughts and prayers in this difficult time. Our regret for not be able to pay our last respect to him,as non of us knew of it..We are very appreciative of your generous donation of RM2,000 towards our alma mater's PTA.Rest assurred that your contribution would be put into good use by the PTA for the benefits of the present townians.Your former classmates, schoolmates and especially former collegues of DID are looking forward to meet you at BB,but now they have to wait for another time.God Bless.
To Sin Fook,....my deepest sympathy & heartfelt condolence to you & family...You are one kind of a generous guy!... (Excuse me,.. do you still blush & do the side kick when provoked?... sorry )
ReplyDeleteI want thank Siong Moh, Poh Meng Eng & Isabella for their kind words of condolences.
ReplyDeleteHey, this guy called HHH seems to remember me so clearly after all these years! I wonder who is this fellow, why too shy to reveal your identity?
HHH, I never fight in this school as far my memories can recall, but I did outside a couple of times on those bad guys from the nearby Modern School whilst waiting for Bus No.6 to go home. Mind you, 1 against 10! Maybe you have seen me beating those guys with my Bruce Lee's side kicks! How good was my kicks then?
Or did I kick your-ass before? Hope not!
Ya, those were the days when we were young and naughty. I were no coward and no bully, but want to try me, 'no-run-you'that's my type even today at +50 !!!
I can guess that you are not one of my play-groups. In those days, students tend to mix with their own playmates or groups in outdoor activites. We may not have mixed then.
Whoever you are, thanks for remembering me. I hope you are one lady then, for admiring me- so as to speak.
Best Regards to HHH & 3 of you.
Sin Fook
Sin Fook,
ReplyDeletei couldn't tear myself away from the gathering tonight but there was another function to attend. Your friends were so hilarious and vivacious. And my, the noise! Away with protocol[the only instance was photo-taking with the teachers], no standing on ceremony, but there was chivalry when teachers were invited to the buffet spread first, gaiety and laughter everywhere, everyone literally let their hair[Ted and Samuel, i am sorry but you didn't] down...
The slide show was good, filled with poignant memories and agape faces, amazed at what modern electronic gadgets can do to recapture many pix from year one. I kept egging Siong Moh to pose the 'pi kut sian' stance but he said he needed more than a jug to get him to pose. Hope that you can join your friends in their next outing. Take care and God bless!
oops,sorry "pai kut sian"
ReplyDeleteTo Sin Fook..... you are sure one of a "Hakka" hero!..you are always righteous and always ready to lend your helping hans...I remember that,..you know.. Here's a hint to you....we stayed as Townians and remained as Greenians..How's your side kick Kwang Po..heheheheeee.... know what I rather stay as I am just to keep up the thrill & fun..like what Ted said:.. let's keep this blog lively..ok?...one think for sure we were together for quite awhile...hahahahaaaaa... know what?..... I also unable to attend this BB..(or rather Banyak Bising)... I am quite sad about it..sorry folks... the Phantom is not coming..
ReplyDeleteHHH, thank you for your good compliment this time. But, why can't you just show your true person instead of be a phantom. No fun talking to nobody, don't just exist in the virtual world! You got no balls kah?
ReplyDeleteOh, you mean my best pal, Yeo Kwang Poo, never touch him that way. He is my kid brother back then.
You didn't attend last night without a reason? You are 'not-enough-friend'lah.
Come on, your HHH comments appear all over the blog and I thought you are one of the organisers of this function. You are a nut to let those people down.
Anyway, they can't screw you, you don't exist in reality but in the virtual world!
Sin Fook
SIN FOOK,
ReplyDeleteOUR CONDOLENCE TO YOU FOR YOUR RECENT LOSS. HOW WE WISH THAT YOU WERE ABLE TO COME LAST NITE.
YEO KWANG POO & I WERE TALKING TO LAI KAI CHIN, HOW THE FEW OF US...U, KWANG POO, SEK HAI & I USED TO RUN AFTER THE NO. 6 BUS AFTER CLASS...WOW!!! THAT WAS A GREAT TIME.
HOPE WE CAN CATCH UP AGAIN FOR KOPI ONCE YOU ARE SETTLED. LOVE TO MEET AN OLD FRIEND LIKE U. :-))))
I wish to get re-connect with these pretty lasses: Lucy Yong, Lucy Sim, Tan Siew Kee, Tan Bee Choo and other old-pals of KTGSS.
ReplyDeleteI guess they are all grand-mothers now and who knows, my siblings may be dating with theirs!
Sin Fook
Thomas Koh, thank you for condolence.
ReplyDeleteYa, those times were the sweet memories now.
I have not met Yeo or Lai for a long long time. Thanks to the internet, we can still do chatting.
You still stay at Kenyalang?
I am now staying at Tabuan Heights.
Hope to see you all then.
Sin Fook
YES, I AM STILL STAYING IN KENYALANG. LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU WANT TO GO FOR KOPI, I WILL CALL THE GANG.
ReplyDeleteKoh, I am trying to post some old photos of our townians.
ReplyDeleteNot able to do. Any advice from you, Koh?
ReplyDeleteHHH,
ReplyDeleteCommon u should reveal yourself right now..It is a fact that it is no fun to communicate with someone virtual.
Whether u have balls or no ball it is time you show yourself!
Hah! I got a supporter from Mr. Chan.
ReplyDeleteHHH is bad guy, maybe a pondan phantom afterall.
Watch out! His contribution of 500 maybe fake notes from virtual world or hell world, whatever worlds, just ignore HHH for now my friend.
Oh, Patrick Chan, do I know you?
Can you please let me know more about you?
Sin Fook

I read that you & sis. did a 'Back to the Future' journey to KTGSS, wearing school uniforms with some other 17 townians on an early morning of 17th Feb. 2010. What was the time and date you people arrived at the future. Wah, did you see me there and others too, especially Mr. Ngaim !!
I hope you funny Townians can tell us more about your hilarious experiences! Any pictures taken to show us?
One thing is for sure about you & gangs: You guys and gals are true-blue Townians! I take my hat off and bow before you all. Here's my hands, doing Clap Clap Clap. Bravo!!!

Hi, Phek Chiang, I have't seen you for ages.
Yap, my memories start to come back now and can visualise your presence and how you look like when we were in Earth 1 , but this Tan Noi Eng, is it a she?
Maybe need to look at the old class photo to refesh my memories. Very sorry to Tan, forgive me!
Hi, Sin Fook
ReplyDeleteThanks for remembering me & sister...just to refresh your memory, myself and sis. Rose Law were the first to arrive at the school on the morning of 17th Feb. 2010 at around 8:35am....the time to meet at the school was 9:00am.........if you read the comments in the blog archive 'Re-visiting.........'....and for your infor we were ask to write an essay of not more than 100 words which goes like this.......It was raining heavily when I drove into the school compound. After almost.....
Sin Fook,
ReplyDeleteDavid and Rose came early, carried out their prefects' duty of rondaan pagi, so teacher gave them 10 marks merit[system used now].. Ted wrote on another thread that he was outside early but decide to visit old house, or trying to find his way through the bushes.. Albert and Ted probably had a hard time getting into their school pants and their school shoes can't fit anymore lei...
Talib and Abg Moasili went bohemian, the former had a cowboy hat. AM, his usual jovial manner in hawaiian shirt,{he was my senior in uni and his missus was my mentor in edu]. Robert, ever the headboy, brought a new student, Susie and showed her around[teacher gave him 10 marks also]. PCK was so excited with the bell-hinge on the beam still intact[his idea to hang a notice or plastic bell will be seriously considered].
Pramod was regaling teacher with the townian pioneers'(TP) numerous feats in sports. Some lamented on the submerged field... This 'back to the future' group had enormous fun even in the heavy rain. Joo, Winnie and Rose wanted to go to the canteen but it was closed. Makes teacher wonder how they kept their hour-glass figures despite the hunger pangs.
Come on guys and gals, pen your thoughts on your first day in school for your chums who missed the bus[poor Ivy, teacher scolded her for being late;she didn't have small change now already businesswoman mah..]. Anthony lived the furthest so teacher forgave him for being late.
Ted already posted his essay so teacher gave him 1-star. Thomas, you wrote about the birds and the bees, and then? Siong Moh made PCK sit next to the brooms and bin at the back of the class. Cheeky Jamel wanted to put the sharpener mirror on his shoe[teachers now wear baju kurung to be on the safe side]. Salhi asked to sit for exam in the hall.
The guys couldn't stifle the urge to pee so they brought teacher to their w.c. but it is now a printing room. One more thing, the smokehouse is no more there so some hid behind the old canteen and had a quick puff... Teacher didn't wear her glasses then.
17,18 or 19, they came, with excitement written all over their faces. There were squeals of recognition, lots of unbridled affectionate hugs, nostalgic recollections, and unabashed revelations from admirers. The TPs number about 171 in Pioneer 1, and likewise in P2+P3. Today, there are 1841;
very2 tough for us to get them back to do gardening in the evenings. Plus, many will take advantage of the junior form pretty lasses or instigate fisticuffs.[sigh] Those were the days...
David, you must have score the highest points in the essay with the extra 10 points given for the good conduct of wearing school uniforms to attend classes. And except for Rose, the rest should be penalised and sent home and get a fine for 20 sen each. 15 students fined x 20 sen = RM3.00, this goes to the School fund
ReplyDeleteThere is also a fine rule for coming late and there is a prefect maining the gate with a recording book.
You may not know, I once caught Ngaim Min arriving late and she refused to give her name and run off to the class. Later, I came to know she is the daughter of the Headmistress!
Hi Phek Chiang....sad to have missed breakfast with you guys this morning..was with eldest Brother, eldest sister,Bro in law...Lim Lian Seng retired SESCO accounts Dept and nieces doing breakfast at BDC A1...one of my available favourite Kueh Chap...had 2 bowls with additional plate extras....ha ha will definitely catch up with you all in Kuching soon and more often.....
ReplyDeleteHi Phek Chiang ..your hp number noted and saved in my hp already!!!! Have a great day!!
ReplyDeletePoh Meng Eng, I enjoy reading your on-the-site account of what were happening in this back-to the-future episode. Your actors are really nuts! I mean very naughty grown-ups.
ReplyDeleteBut then, I expect your discriptions of the scenes to be back to the past (the 70s times). Maybe you guys set the wrong time destination dial on your time machine and landed really in the future 2010!
Hey, can I join you all next trip to the real future?
Hi, Anthony Chan, thanks for your re-connection and informing me that you were also a Greenian.
ReplyDeleteDid you take part in any sport and win a medal for Green House? We were the Champions in the 3rd year.Hurray!
Honestly, I cannot recall how you look like in those days. Maybe you are junior than me.
I have looked into your posted details and the photo with your mises, still can't recall who you are! Very sorry for that.
But I appreciate your friendly gesture to say Hello.
SIN FOOK,
ReplyDeleteYOU CAN EMAIL ME YOUR PICTURES & PHONE DETAILS TO ME :tomaskoh@gmail.com or call me for kopi & I will round up the gang : 019 829 1958
Sin Fook,
ReplyDeleteMy belated deepest condolences and heartfely sympathies to you and your family on your recent loss and bereavement......missed your face at the bash and asked after you and was informed about your loss....take care, take it easy and we'll see each other again at one of these gatherings....cheers
Going to the hospice later this morning to see En. Sazali my rugby mentor....haven't seen the bloke in years.....hope he still remembers me....
ReplyDeleteSin Fook
ReplyDeleteAnthony is from our year (1970) I too had a hard time trying to figure out who is Anthony Chan from the beginning of this blog and later found out that not easy because i was told that he seldom mix with the boys because he was busy chessing Giiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrllllllllllllllllllsssssssss. haha Right Anthony.
Hi Sin Fook,
ReplyDeleteMy deepest condolonces to you and family on your recent loss and bereavement. We were in the same year but different class. We were in the prefect team.Have a nice day.
Sin Fook,
ReplyDeletewish i could give you a back-to-the-past account but i had just begun year 1 still bleary-eyed and raw... those naughty kids still haven't handed in their essays; probably still feasting and merrymaking, or maybe trying to settle back to the present after the past-time dial.
You have read Ted's sharing, slightly over 100 word but no marks penalty; good fast effort. Thomas informs me that the pix of the BB will take time. Ted, Albert, Joo and David took many pix in sch, they will be posted in this blog too i believe. Joo told me that she will definitely show her brood in Australia.
Should you like to pop in to sch, do come in; i am in the morning, Isabella in the afternoon. Our sch no:082-245957. Give us a call, we will be on the look-out for the main gate, not the fence or the bus-stop; assuming that you will drive... For 'limited circulation' i can't post my hp here coz this blog may be accessed by youngsters[i trust that you will understand], who tend to think that teachers are 24/7 civil servants... Thomas and Siong Moh have my hp no., they have my permission to let the TP ask for it.

Sin Fook...we do have some moments together...remembered was taking part in sports in hurdles, long jump and triple jump....unfortunately being quite frail...about 100 lbs and about 5' 7" then....so sorry did not win any medals....but was full of heart anticipating and cheering/supporting on Green house always...I'm also not so well learned so was in 3 Earth from 1 Mars and 2 Mars...got kicked out by the Martians...Ha Ha...they thought I was spying on them according to David Law...
Have a great day everyone...had a swell time in Kch even though it was a 1 night stand....will wait for the right tide to drift in to Kuching home sweet home again soon!!!!!

Good afternoon Townians,
ReplyDeleteI am delighted that Siew Kee and Lucy Yong called me this morning!
What a wonderful moment, whilst still in sleepy mode to hear the familar sweet voices for the first time in 40 years!
I instantly recognised them without a doubt.
We are planning to meet tomorrow morning for a breakfast reunion. Anyone interested to join?
Maybe, Chin Chiang & Thomas Koh would like to come as they have tried to invited me for a kopi before, and the avenue is still undecided.
I hope for a big crowd of townians to be there and free makan is fully sponsored.
Any of townian operating an eatery would be a meaningful and perfect place to gather. Can someone proposed?
Sin Fook
There are two J J townians' reconnections to me yesterday, sorry unable to reply then.
ReplyDeleteFirst, this lady named Josephine is very familar and there's only one at that time. It must be her, though very blur how she look like now!

ReplyDeleteThomas Kho's old faithful Proton Saga was found missing this morning. I happen to meet him and our pal, Albert Kho, doing a police report. Any body who has information on the lost car can post it here.
An small reward will be given for any information leading to the recovery of the vehicle in one piece!
Sorry for my mistake, should be Thomas Koh's old faithful car, and not Thomas Kho's.
ReplyDeleteHi Sin Fook...publish by Ted Yong that car was found and the thieves were caught at Premier 101...already...did not realised the the car was Thomas's...Alice publish that it was a friend's car...Cheerios to our Police...good work!!!
ReplyDeleteHi All,
ReplyDeleteThis morning some of us together with Thomas had coffee at King's Centre and I left early to pick up my boy from school. Then he SMSed to inform me that his car was stolen and after a few hours SMSed again that the police had found his car at Premier 101,and what a coincidence at our regular haunt. In 2010,Thomas must have performed some secret good deeds to be so lucky!!!.Talking of luck, then we have to invest in 4D and Toto on his car number:8696.Everyone do not miss the opportunity as Thomas is sharing with you all his lucky charm...in 2010!!!.
