Do you think it would be of help that we standby some school uniforms for your homecoming trip... Too bad the guys will have to wear long olive green pants unlike the thigh-hugging shorts back in the 70s; i would like a peek at your 70s school outfit woooo.....

BEING a 1st pioneer.I fill very happy to step barefoot on the ground.so.happy to meet my classmate,siong moh,david,fatt kiong robert lee. anthongy chew meng ted,bill chua,jim,lee, .ALL THE Form 1 earth, and form 3 earth. 1970-1972.---some of them loss contact for 30 years.

ReplyDeleteOne night in April 2007, some fella burnt down "ye old smokehouse", if it is the shed at the far right end of the present-day entrance. Coincidence, that you guys should use that smokehouse too. But as youngsters then.. Then it evolved into a squat-ter for the ---(can't print it here, tell you in person when you visit k)

ReplyDeletewhoa, and sorry for not clarifying a bit more. The school and PTA@PIBG did rally around to rebuild the general workers' store(term now used)at the slope behind school hall. Nice-looking bungalow... Actually we don't mind the hype by the YBs except we know there are many constraints that cannot be overcome[and unprintable here]. The pioneers' gathering on broadcast, paper and IT-media are very powerful in reviving public interest; just that we civil servants have a gag-order. Which is good, coz we carry on doing what we are best at, managing the school and bringing up the adorable mischievous kids.

ReplyDeleteTo Thomas,...thanks for the reminder ( I dont felt offended and to Poh Meng Eng thanks for your clarification...good job done.. maybe it's the bigger cost to re build the block and the fund budget might have to be from different channel ( no state's fund), Well at least I raise this issue in such a concerned manner hoping to attract all Townians to come together so as to suggest whichever possible way to expedite the re buliding of the building. Like Siong Mong said pity his daughter having to study sience subject in other building,.. imagine other parents childern had went & going through this . We understand the school management responsibilities perimeter and that's the reason I raise in such a manner Maybe it is the right time now (BB night) to inform this matter,...raising money to build the building is not a good ideal as this might encourange the tendnecy to "slash" the school budget in future allocation..What's the delay in the conclusion to rebuild..?.. I am sure all Townians need the answer as we all care and that's why you have BB Apologise to raise up this matter... To this blog administer,.... at least take serious note in this matter instead of just casual chatting ..I don;t mean to be blunt & rude, is just we are care ..sorry no offence..

ReplyDeleteI am very touch by your concern of present KTGSS or SMKBK1 . As blog administrators, we are trying our best to keep the blog alive by disseminating as much info past and present, we even have a Radio Talk show of our BB2010. In as much as we want fun and laughters, we are also not forgetting our social responsibility within our means.
As you are aware, we have started the ball rolling with our cookie jar with only 3 response, we also have posted our 'Milo Tin' campaign but no response. You know, Kuching people are very shy . Reassured, Thomas said that there are a lot who have pledged to support. We will have our 'Milo Tin ' at the entrance.
My friend , I am looking forward to meet you and your support for our little cause for KTGSS.

ANY FUND ARE REFER TO FEDERAL GOV'T.AT P.JAYA......J.K.R.help to inform the gov't ANY MATTER PLEASE REFER TO 'J.K.R.for latest out come....A.HHH. refer [ no state fund.thanks for concern of the school...]..

Thank you for the information..Yes, I am aware that this is solely under federal ministry...Since you mention JKR,,, what happens next?... any follow up..?... maybe thru your radio broadcast and other media.... any respond or effect?. Know what guys... there are so many ways & means to get this matter heard in the parliament... write a petition and forward to Kementerian Pendidikan Perkesetuan -MOE,... in PM blog..the minister concerned ( both state & federal) blog if there is any,...appeal to JKR..maybe a press conference.. ,..appeal to senator concerned -by PTA paying a courtesy visit and the Pengarah of JKR---make sure to invite the press....( turun padang?..)just trying to get our voices heard and attention...

Please do not lose your head over the donation by Anon HHH. i have been following AHHH's comments since i got 'adopted' along with Isabella to be in the TP's bandwagon. i believe he does exist though for reasons best known to him/her?, the identity can't be divulged. i also believe in him honoring his pledge.

The hidden intrigue lends a certain degree of interest for me as a follower of this blog. You seem to know of the many innings and characteristic traits of some pioneers. Sans your tongue-in-cheek comments which unfortunately have been removed of late these past 2 days, i am not abashed to declare on behalf of our sch PTA, we certainly welcome any donation, be it in cash or kind. FYI, Isabella and i have thickened our faces umpteen times to ask, which we got, for our beloved sch. $$ is an ultra-sensitive issue for many people, all the more for the BB OC, when they have posted earlier the numerous jars' donors. So please(hope it isn't offensive to ask) get in touch with me at your own pace whilst maintaining the one-and-only AHHH identity.

I have been going through the blog for the last few days and found that provocations, harrassment and harsh words have been used to unnecessarily bombarded HHH and I personally like to convey my thoughts to those words which I find it unfriendly. A person who is not sincere or honor in his words would not come back to the blog to give his thoughts and comments after so much bombardment. He would have shy away and that might be the end of the story. Before donation of his pledge is not received we cannot assume that he is not honoring his pledge. Its too early to condemn HHH a nuisance, a misfit or a disgrace and likewise with one of our fellow townian who was unable to attend due to some technical problems while he was away on holiday. There was no mention of the contribution to the Cookie Jar. The remarks on the both of them in the blog sounds provocative and this would create tension. I suggest that the remarks be removed.
I am still open to the positive comments of anonymous HHH but every time I went into the blog, the comments are removed. There is nothing I could do to reply to his comments but only has to wait for the pledge he made that is RM500.00 in which he said he would call me. Unfortunately there is still no call from the anonymous HHH. He has explained clearly in the blog of his intention for the donation and I think we should give him some time.
I agree with Poh Meng Eng's comments and believe that this HHH will honor his pledge of RM500.00 to KTGSS PTA. If we were to go back to the comments by HHH ( Feb. 16, 2010 10:48pm) I think he meant well and its the game he wants to play. If he doesn't want to reveal his name so be it. Since the day HHH commented in the blog, he has not stop commenting but what I saw in the blog many of his recent comments are removed.
Anthony Chan is trying to entertain HHH but without knowing what is HHH comments there is nothing he can do & I presume many other Townians do agree that we need to give HHH the space and time.
Please don't make this blog into a war zone. If the comments by the townian is sensitive and provocative, the administrators' discretion is needed to cool the situation down. There are few provocative statements hitting at HHH which I find it unnecessary and should be removed. Teachers, students, fellow ex-students and the public can access to the blog and this happenings can be read and just because of a minor misunderstanding this negative impact spoil the show. Don't let this backyard problems spill over the fence.
