PAI KUT SIAN!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Ted & Thomas,
ReplyDeleteThe "Kungfu boys" were definitely skinny("Pai Kut Sian" as Thomas said). Those days they had to perform a lot of schoolwork, sports activities, besides studies. They have to clean up the flooded ground floor staff room and classrooms after the rain. Then they have to come back in the afternoon to tidy up their respective house gardens and to plant flowers to beautify the school compound and using "swing sickle" to cut grass, but the present students are fortunate lot to have private maintenance contractor to do the work as quoted by Puan Poh.The students of yesteryears were much fitter than the present lot.And the yesteryears students did not have the luxury of enough nutritious food to nuture their bodies compared to present students. That was some of the reasons they were skinny!!!.By the way,the guy on the 2nd from right was my good friend,Lim Hong Ing and the 3rd from right(my guess)was Chew Men Teck.
All are pai kut sian and photo shoot either Elvis or Bruce Lee's style. This photo should be displayed at KTGSS musuem..
ReplyDeleteHa ha never knew these classmates of mine are martial arts exponents...watch out BB2010 gate crashers...they look ferocious!!! Keong Hee huat tua chai!!!! and everything nice....for this CNY.
ReplyDeleteSIONG MOH/E.J.
ReplyDeleteI THINK THE FOUR OF YOU SHOULD, ON THE BB NITE, STAND ON STAGE, BE IN THE SAME POSITION, WITH YOUR OFF, TAKE A PICTURE...& COMPARE THE ''THEN'' & THE ''NOW''...hehehe...hahaha :-))))
I MEAN ''WITH YOUR SHIRTS OFF''
ReplyDeleteThomas,

ReplyDeleteHi PCK...confirmed the one next to Chung Eng Jaw is definitely Chung Ngee Hin....missed him...was a good buddy...used to walk to his house...remembered the huge sun flowers at his house fencing perimeters...Lennon rest in peace...we remember you forever..was looking forward to see him...one of the few I can recollect from KTGSS...sad..
ReplyDeleteChung Ngee Hin??? I met him last at Batu Lintang's shophouse and we have a chat.Used to go to his house too..Miss him too...peace be with him..
ReplyDeleteHi Townians,
ReplyDeleteThe late Lennon Chung Ngee Hin(Pioneers1)passed away sometime in February,2009.During school days,he was a great fan of John Lennon, and that where he adopted his Christian name Lennon. He used to reside at Jalan Mendu. He was a very friendly guy and could get along with classmates & schoolmates.Like Patrick,I met him at a Coffee shop at Batu Lintang(next to 4D outlet)6 months before his demised. He was a "pow"(dumplings)wholesaler and was delivering some "pow" to the shop for sale.We had half an hour chat and he told me that he seldom come across his classmates after leaving school. So,Thomas & Sammuel,we are unable to replay the "pai kut sian"(skinny bone)cast,as we are short of one...the ever smiling late Lennon Chung. And my apology to Meng Teck for my wrong guess!!!.
to siong moh ..I am not aware of our friend depart us ....one of my friend living at jln.mendu....sad to hear him living us ,migrate to the other world........................'.Call by Lord to Live in Peace in heaven' AMEN..

Hi PCK,
ReplyDeleteOur blog is an amazing IT tool for us to disseminate information to all townians wherever they are in any parts of the world. One good example is how we are able to get so many pioneers123 & former teachers to join our coming BB2010 in such a short time.Again,we have to thank the administers for their good work and those bloggers who posted comments to keep it lively.
Thomas,
ReplyDeleteU r right to say that the three of them should be OK 4 the new photo shoot...add another one...Jet Lee and there should be 4 of u...Thomas u should hold an audition 4 the 4th star as soon as possible..It is only 2 days to the big day!
Hi, Guys
ReplyDeleteGuys!!!!!see how cute those youngters were during those days....
"Kong Hei Fatt Choi".....I really missed those wonderful fond fun memories of the past....there is nothing, not even a photo of myself for me to remember my past school childhood days....I have only got the class photo which I scanned....I really envy those who have photos of their younger days....how I wish!!!!!.....when I look at those photos it gives me an emotional feeling.......how I wish!!!!!how I wish!!!! to have those photos to remind me of my friends....but I always tell myself this is the time to take photos with old classmates for that remembrance.....I don't have that young photos but I still can have that new photos with my old friends..
If your guys are game enough to do a "after" photo tomorrow night, Pn. Poh and me will make sure to give you a spot for "before" and "after" photos in the school magazine this year.
ReplyDeleteBelle,
ReplyDeleteRight-o! Aye aye! Where is Thomas Koh? is he busy auditioning to make up the foursome. Never mind if left with 3, with due respect to their departed chum, can still snap pix. Hope to see the sailor's cap also.. 'Pai kut sian' then, what do we call them now eh. Actually this snap is my favorite and so is Anthony's english essay.
Thomas and Siong Moh,
ReplyDeletei had often wondered what 'sian' meant, in the term that you used for describing the 4 kurus tinggi boys, till i asked Mrs.Robert today who explained that it referred to 'fairy@deity'. Now you ought to call 'pai kut wang' coz the remaining 3 are well-endowed[ i mean flesh-wise].No matter who makes up the foursome pose in the BB, Isabella and i have a page dedicated to you Townian Pioneers homecoming in this year's school reunion.
to all ktgss,
ReplyDeletewe have 3 pai kut sian during the bb2010 but the seen cannot replay, its like playing mahong' 3kaki 'short '1kaki'ha.ha.ha..
