Dinner time.

  1. Good food, great friends, but what tugs at my memory of that night when I see this picture is Thomas Koh rushing onto the stage to invite ' teachers first'.
However, melancholy does get the better of me now, as memories flood back our good old days when we would line up for everything, but when it comes to food in the canteen at recess time, wow, how we squeeze and rush and push just to get to the front to buy our food.
Ever wonder how well trained we were in decision making? Before we even step into the canteen, we already know what we want to eat and drink.
Guess we have lost that training along the way, cos now when we sit down in the coffee shop and the waiter comes to take our order, we would be wondering aloud, what to drink agh? and if one of the guys(most likely he is talking on the hand phone) absentmindedly say Kopi O, suddenly all order kopi o.
    Cheers!

  2. Tommy, Thanks for the lunch at Chillie Peppers! Great to see you after 35 years! At school you were always Guek Beng's little brother; but you have now created your own identity.

We have limited $$ and choices in those days; either char beehoon (with tau gay and omelette) or po pia, etc,....... But we grew up appreciating more than the kids these days.
