    On this day 17.02.2010 mark a very important 40 years of history in my life as a 1st Townian Pioneer student in KTGSS (YR.1970-1972).     I'm very very happy and honoured to be reconnected to all my friends above who has always remembered me and to those whom I could not recall I would like to apologise.     Talking about the movie S.W.A.L.K....Sealed With A Loving Kiss....I have always remembered this movie with those nostalgic and wonderful songs and scenes in the movie.......actor Mark Lester, Tracy Hyde & Jack Wild....fantastic movie of my time......movie was shown in 1971 and if not mistaken at REX Theatre......students at special entrance rate............I looooooooooooooove this movie.....it fills my heart with lots of childhood boy & girl love....the songs by Bee Gees are nostalgic esp. "Melody Fair, In The Morning, First Of May and To Love Somebody"....if you can have a copy of that movie to watch, I tell you!!...no words to describe.....if you listen to these songs, I tell you, your heart will be full of LOVE...

    Didn't know that you can go goo-gaga recapping the movies of yesteryears, whoa, you do recall those movies very well.. i think you can remember BALI HAI, movie set in South Pacific. One of my favorites esp the song sung by the cute roly-poly amah "i'm gonna wash u outta ma hair" when the female protagonist was unhappy. Whenever my students/peers do unacceptable acts, i tend to recall this song; go for hairwash to get them out of my hair[you know what i mean], then move on with my priorities. Don't worry, be happy, this lil song i wrote.., who sang this i wonder.

    First, my deepest condolence to the demise of your late father. I still remember you well from the old days. I am deeply touched by your patriotism to KTGSS and a few others who initiated the drive to bring up KTGSS. Let's hope in a few years, we can all see the changeover & hear good words of the school.
    How I wish I can join you all for the breakfast reunion tomorrow. Lucy Yong is my cousin so she can represent me. Hope to see you in my next trip back.

    How about PLANTING TREE(S) when you pioneers come a-visiting again.. didn't Sin Fook say he wanted to join should you guys go back to school?
    Our school can do with more trees esp to provide shade for our kids in this sweltering heat. How about leaving your'footprints@marks' permanently.. u guys plant, we in sch will care for them and put up signboards.. including your bell idea..

Before I bleh bleh, I would like to say a big thank you to the chairman, committee members and friends who had help one way or another to make the BB 2010 a very memorable event
    Mr. chairman, I propose for organising the reunion annually in a smaller scale. For those who cant make it, never mind but every three years organise it full swing like the BB 2010

Talking about KTGSS Garden Of Fame and planting trees ...reminds me of the days that we are in KTGSS..Now the pioneers are thinking of planting trees...before we have to cut grass and bushes..My, how our hands blistered..I can even remember the main road (Jln Chong Kiun Kong??) was just gravelled road and whenever it rain...muddy..

    The BB 2010 night I were consider lucky. you know why?. I left the Sarawak Club after my wife called me to pick her up at her mother's house. So when I reached Batu Kawa road I were caught in the traffic jam. Oh my god! in front quite far was the police road block and balloon test for alcohol. So I quickly park my car at the road side and called my eldest son and his to pick me up at the road side and drove my car home. Thanks god.

    The morning of 17 Feb i was sent to school by my wife n kids !I used to make my way to school on foot and on my own. How time has changed our way!!!

    On stepping in the school compound my mind immediately engaged the auto gear of the time machine and it raced up n down between now n then!
    I as usual came late and the matured students were already absorbed in their own world looking up n down for remnants of their marks or mischief!!Pn Poh N Isabella graciously accompany those matured group along the corridor n pathways that have withstand their misdeed!

  49. It was raining then and was 38 yrs ago i last saw raindrops dripping from the gutter less roofs and my eyes moisten in remembrance of teachers who has passed by us n friends preceding us..!I lost my brother when i was in form 5 n he is pioneer 3..Al Fatihah.
    Then if the rain persist longer our school will be flooded n the task of cleaning up the school will be ours...we were trained then to care for our place ....the school only has ONE handyman ie inggu i suppose is his name living in a small quarter similar to studio apartment in MJC now but also flood prone !!!
    We crowded into one classroom n immediately in our child ego state started scribbling words n signature on it....recalling us enjoying it when the teacher gave their back to us...also the red chalks ended up as blushers to those young eager girl faces..minus the pimples much dreaded at that time!
    When the school end for long holidays we were made to put all chairs on top of tables n lined straight with floors cleaned to receive us back after the holidays...Proactivity was long taught to us!
    To the library we were ushered n hoping to see Enid Blyton secret seven and Fairy Tales...we saw Harry Potter,Sydney sheldon.....I used to follow the fairy tales hoping the girls at heart will see me as Prince Charming then...and now n then wished that so n so who was bad to me turn into FROG..... teachers inclusive..but failed.
    The bicycle shed was a thing of the past where student now are chauffeured by the father the matured student.!!
    The hall where every game was held is now Airconditioned plus plastered ceiling...i can stand two hours for assembly if the Principal can talk that long.....or the teachers can bear it without the PTA haunting them ! Student then complained less but now parents complained more..!!!
    To the Staffroom we went in and as before at the same place but extended....MY SALUTE TO ALL TEACHERS....their room are open n common hall and it has been the same...how i wished my employees r such where a fresh engineer require a room n privacy.!!!!!Fortunately the staffroom was airconditioned!
    The trophies showcased stretched back to our time with one game we r champion for 3 successive years n such trophy ours for keep.Not bad for a young school ala Brazil !
    The principal office is 3 X Mrs NgiamS though at same location and other senior staff around him.
    Oh my i forgot ! I learned to use the sickle n the Changkol because my green house cut the grass n maintain landscape...every Wednesday..at with blisters inflicted on my palms...I m proud to say the gardens do have flowers without the need for landscape contractors !
    The school visit shall not end without seeing the Toilet.....the place where we took turn to clean n worst still when its flooded/.! No wonder we never messed it up because we end up cleaning our own mess.!

    During the two+ hours visit Poh n Isabella chaperoned us around whilst they caught glimpses of our mischevious traits....very patiently during a holiday too ..spending time...no overtime allowance at all!
    Thats Teachers ....simple needs n willingly giving their time n concern even to matured students like us.. ! And we were accorded the chance to record n signed our names n thoughts in the official Visitors Book.....HOW THEY VALUE THEIR STUDENT!!!
    And in return we hold The BIG BASH 2010 aimed to say thank you to Teachers..Now and Then....

    I was RIGHT all along....My Wife is SMK Baliringin Principal....a teacher..!Hoooolah Abang Moasili you r right...!!!

  50. Abang, you sum up our experience. We were like a bunch of teenagers minus the rowdiness. An experience that is etched in my heart.

    Thanks to the committee of BB2010 for such a wonderful experience. The mug will have a place on my crystal cupboard.

  56. Hi everyone who are present in the morning of 17 feb...you must all be very proud to be a townian and I for one will always be cos that is the only school I had attended. That was the 1st time I step back into the school after I left so memories come back, both good and bad...but I am very happy to meet all the long lost friends and pray that we can always keep in touch and Anthony do come back often so that we can have a cup of coffee anytime and also our Robert Lee...

  57. Sure Ivy, I will be in touch. I thoroughly enjoyed the little outing we had to the old school that morning & the lunch thereafter. It reminded me of the many outings we had 40 years back! The BB night was just so memorable meeting the teachers such as Ms Sim Lui Kheng (looks great as ever), Mr Goh ( my slave driver at the jubilee ground), Ms Anna Chong (our most dramatic history teacher), Miss Chang, etc & old mates some of whom I truly apologise for not recalling. Thanks again to the committee members for bringing us together once again. Would be great to see some photos posted in the blog for remembrance sake. Cheers.

    I have put on weight but my appearance still the same. Some time in town alot of our friends meet me and said I still look the same as before but my hair is less. We all should me happy. Happy go lucky. For me I dont care much for tomorrow. Who knows when the god call me I have to go and no time to say good bye to you all. So if today got wine today drunk.

Isabella and i support your idea of a PTA fund-raising dinner but on one condition: that you be the entertainment compere while Thomas is the M.C... Our school aircond hall is a good venue, Siong Moh can attest to that. i will forward your proposal in the soon-to-come pre-council meeting due in early March. Barring any obstacles and doing away with protocol and bureaucracy, let's hope the idea takes flight in the not too distant future...

    Yes I agree with you. Thomas must be the M.C. For me the entertainer compere eh...eh...should be no problem but need some tiger beer to charge. For PTA fund raising I will try my best to get as much as posible. As you know during our school time, we had to pay school fees but the poor students cant afford to pay and being chased home. I really respect our form teacher Mr. Wong.when he called the names of the students that didnt pay the school fees, automatily the students would get the school bags and ready to go home. Our Mr. Wong said "stop" where are you going and who asked you to go home. Sit down! . He quoted if I sent you home and you still cannot paid and might as well stay and continue your class. Salute Mr. Wong! You are the best teacher I had ever seen. You are the only teacher that wrote somethings good in my report card.

    Ah Beng was asked to make a sentence using
    1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,10.

    Not only did he do it 1 to 10, he did it again from 10 back to 1. This is what he came up with.....
    1 day I go 2 climb a 3 outside a house to peep. But the couple saw me, so I panic and 4 down. The man rushed out and wanted to 5 with me. I ran until I fell 6 and threw up. So I go into 7-eleven and grabbed some 8 to throw at him. Then I took a 9 and try to stab at him. 10 God he run away.
    10 I put the 9 back and pay for the 8 and left 7-eleven. Next day I called my boss and told him I was 6. He said 5 , tomorrow also no need to come back 4 work. He also asked me to go climb a 3 and jump down! I don't understand. I am so nice 2 him but I don't know what he 1.

    A young man sprinkling his lawn and bushes with pesticides wanted to check the contents of the barrel to see how much pesticide remained in it. He raised the cover and lit his lighter; the vapors inflamed and engulfed him. He jumped from his truck, screaming. His neighbor came out of her house with a dozen eggs, yelling: "bring me some eggs!" She broke them, separating the whites from the yolks. The neighbor woman helped her to apply the whites on the young man's face. When the ambulance arrived and when the EMTs saw the young man, they asked who had done this. Everyone pointed to the lady in charge. They congratulated her and said: "You have saved his face." By the end of the summer, the young man brought the lady a bouquet of roses to thank her. His face was like a baby's skin.


    Healing Miracle for burns:


    Keep in mind this treatment of burns which is included in teaching beginner fireman this method. First aid consists to spraying cold water on the affected area until the heat is reduced and stops burning the layers of skin. Then, spread egg whites on the affected are.
    One woman burned a large part of her hand with boiling water. In spite of the pain, she ran cold faucet water on her hand, separated 2 egg white from the yolks, beat them slightly and dipped her hand in the solution. The whites then dried and formed a protective layer.
    She later learned that the egg white is a natural collagen and continued during at least one hour to apply layer upon layer of beaten egg white. By afternoon she no longer felt any pain and the next day there was hardly a trace of the burn. 10 days later, no trace was left at all and her skin had regained its normal color. The burned area was totally regenerated thanks to the collagen in the egg whites, a placenta full of vitamins.
