  1. Dear Thomas,
Our school is very touched with this meaningful gesture of collecting donations. As you rightly put it, it is a goodwill act.
The fact that you guys planned this event in a short time, with over 200 confirmed attendees, got many jars set up and above all, went on radio, certainly has drummed up attention not just towards the BB but for our school as well. Many people are aware of us now; so much for putting SMKBKNo.1 in the limelight wow!!

i browsed through the "Your thoughts on BB.." this morning and was rather perplexed with so many deleted posts of AHHH. Reckon this phantom babbler just got his 'desserts' after all. As for my babbling in iban, it just came naturally when i had something to share with Thomas. Funny, these 2 cina totok converse in lakia wa... 'aku jak nunduk' meant i will do a junior bow to a senior like what i did to Abg Moasili and Unc Fatt Khiong that night before they embarked on the Milo Sihat campaign; or rather teacher bow to student...

  16. Ted,
In my ramblings to Thomas and Patrick, i was admittedly upset that there were many brickbats thrown in this blog against a pioneer who chose to remain anon. i also joked that he/she may not be good-looking(gamal jai) that's why didn't turn up. Then i tried to poke PCK with spelling. If i am not wrong, in lower sec we used to spell words backwards or jumble them up to form others@anagram or scrabble.
i did manage to read some comments before they were removed; they didn't seem provocative or rude, at least to me. As professional adults, we are able to discern constructive or destructive criticism. To me, this blog is a lively one with so many contributions daily that bridges lost friendships and bonds lifelong togetherness. Perhaps David's comments today sum up what most would like to see ie.however provocative the comments may be, the pioneer just wants to play game. As far as i can remember in the past one week, he hasn't been using lopsided or lewd comments. His "intended players" were mainly David and Anthony who have been made exasperated and fervent; which game doesn't make its players charged up to uphold the challenge?, all in the name of fairplay in the arena/blog. As for me, i am in the spectators wing so will remain neutral and unfazed, because WORDS DO NOT KILL...
The blog admin has done a swell job in maintaining peace and order[a little bit of policing will be of help though] and i agree with PCK that being an open avenue, this blog needs some mental restraint on the freedom of speech lest the young ones think likerwise of the adults.
    Let there be peace k...?

  30. Dearest Friends of KTGSS!!!!

Today was the most surprised day of my life after going through such a rocky environment in the blog.......surprise!!!!!!surprise!!!!!....Anonymous HHH called me and I was stunt!!!!!???????....I thought this episod was without an ending and also never dreamed that HHH is a person of his words......it was an emotional conversation with HHH......told me that its a pity the game has to end like this....says he has no grudges with anyone of us, its just that he wants to stay as "Anonymous HHH"....he must have his reasons.....says that he has never the intention to hurt anybody.......says he doesn't feel offended by those harsh words and also says that it is sad that it has to be like this......he too feels like many of us; excited and happy that his first secondary school of the 70's is organising a reunion and trying to make the blog lively HHH created his game...to many of us probably his game was too unfriendly....but that's the name of the game!!!!excitement, mystery, problem solving, hunting, digging, probing etc...etc...etc.....Poh's comments on 23 Feb.2010 4:11pm is rightly said...

...this is HHH's virtual game of words!!!...like you guys have said "WORDS DO NOT KILL" but it's just how we look at it and for me there are many "WORDS OF LOVE" "WORDS OF TEARS" "WORDS OF LAUGHTER" and not forgetting "WORDS OF HURT"!!!!heee....heee..heee

TO "ANONYMOUS HHH".....on behalf of the Working Committee and KTGSS PTA I would like to bow my head in respect of your pledge contribution and you're a gentlemen of your words.....What I have promised in the blog I quote "CROSSED MY HEART I WILL NOT REVEAL YOUR IDENTITY" will always be with me and only me.

I have done what you have asked me to do....contacted Poh ME and in the process of handing over the money to the school. They are very happy that you are a man of your word and Poh ME has that believe in you. We'll update you on the handover.

...and FELLOW TOWNIANS...Let us forgive and forget what has happened during the past few days, weeks and months...just take it as a minor misunderstanding in this 1KtgssTownianFamily......HIDUP!!!!!TOWNIANS......and firstly I would like to apologise if any of my words has offended you during those past days.....and to those fellow Townians I think we owe HHH an apology.......put in some good words, thats all I ask......If Jesus can fast and pray for 40 days & nights for our sins, there is no reason why we can't forgive each other after 40 years of long lost friendship of our school days

STOP THE MISUNDERSTANDING!!!!GUYS LET US COOL THINGS DOWN AND LOOK FORWARD TO ANOTHER wonderful BB2012 Reunion if God willing

  38. Fellow Townians, hear ye, this is a public address..
There is chivalry, humility, magnanimity and comradeship evident among the game players in the recent concluded game. The one where many joined in the paintball, the main proponents being A HHH, Anon, David, Anthony et.al., and the blog admin were the custodians.
The rain stopped and the game ended... The outright winners are the Pioneers Team of KTGSS, heep 2X hooray! And will their alma mater present admin step forward to receive the award, which has been scheduled for Monday 1st of March 2010 circa.10am in the Principal's office. Presenting the token will be Sim Siong Moh, David and other OC members of the 1st reunion. We will adjourn to the sch canteen for some refreshment thereafter...
    Anon HHH,
David contacted me yesterday to inform about your contribution. Thank you very2 much, on behalf of the PTA and warga sekolah. We truly appreciate the pioneers' thoughtfulness and generosity. GOD bless you all!!
So, will someone bring in a new game soon..? How about you pioneers digging up old pix and post them so that everyone can begin scratching head, squint eyes and making guesses@taking potshots.. This blog has served as an 'enabler' to rekindle memories and friendship, hope it continues to do so...

  44. Teenagers nowadays play games such as PSP, Nintendo, computer games and the more popular outdoor ones like Futsal and Paintball. Futsal costs rm40-50 per hour. To play Ptball, one needs rm50 which includes full set protector, semi-auto marker and 100 pellets. An additional 2k pellets will cost rm400. A keen player spends an average of 400 pellets. A slower in reflex person[and who cannot afford more] will opt for burst-mode marker@gun, rat-a-tat-tat in slow motion...
In the days of yore, the townians played netball, football, running and jumping, and chasing after those in skirts, boxing and kicking on the small hill behind the sch hall... Unc Fatt Khiong and Thomas, got any more 'su ku' games to share kah.. This weekend very boring lei.. PCK, where are you, can we continue the "RATS 3"; let's catch 3 of them and play in Biology class k?... the kids' games nowadays are too expensive and time-consuming yes...

  45. Poh ME......PCK the clown fish...China 'chiak hong' and is cuddling himself in bed.....too cold.....minus 13 degree, and he's shrinking day to day.......probably when we see him back in Kuching, he'll be half his original size...

...and for Fatt Khiong.......the guy at the mahjong table, don't know what is day and night oledi!!!....but if you can join him to gamble one round game from North to South to East and to West (Tung-Nan-Sai-Pak)(Pek-Pai)(Angtiong-Chehuat-Pekpan)(Sokchi)(Banchi)(tongchi)(ngiau)(ngiaucho)(kei)(gehkang)(si-sek-hua)(tauchi)......this blocks of mahjong will make you pening-pening!!!

....and for Thpmas...no time to play su'ku games....he's playing police catch thief game (mata-liak-chat)

    ReplyDelete
  46. David,
My daily dose of "ngiau chi, kei see, chi~, lan~, etc." among the students in class and along the corridors has been my language game since i set foot into Kch Town. Needless to say that when given spelling bee, the kids go ga-ga esp the cannot-live-without uttering flowery words group... So, if you cannot find their profile name in their blog, then you agree with me, that they do live up to the "toyol-ness" haha..
Got mahjong book of rules for beginners? I would like to borrow to learn how to swim at the table...
Then if Thomas go play police catch thief, the thief got stop and squat, and put hands behind his back at Thomas' order when cornered?

    ReplyDelete
  47. A SAi Mui
Never never learn mahjong cos once you know how to play, you will keep on playing. Macam addicted.
Just now around 2pm I rush to play mahjong. You know what happen. I knock somebody's car back side. Hantam orang punya belakang. End up at the traffic police station. Just come back home. So dont forget my car number 1889. Today saturday 4D, sports toto and sweep cash

    ReplyDelete
  48. Part 2
At the traffic police station, the traffic officer ask me, awak dari mana? Saya dari rumah. Awak nak pergi mana? I got stuck for a while. Tuan, kalau mahu saya cakap betul. saya mahu pergi main mahjong at 4th mile. The officer laugh and say if I follow your statement, you will have anther saman for gambling. ha...ha... God'will Apa boleh buat.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Poh ME....those 'toyol' (little Aliens) students taking part in the competition, I mean the group who posted in your FB did not do a good opening page blog, but that was a good try....doesn't look impresive....looks like a live chat plateform......I wanted to post a comment but couldn't find 'name' in the 'Select Profile'.......so those daily doses of flowery words are their language game, then pain-killer 'panadol' and flu tablet 'febricol' cannot be taken together which is Pharmacist advice, you'll be 'kong' flowery word for 'dead'

...not so sure if there's a mahjong book for beginners, need to ask Fatt Khiong or probably one day visit Fatt Khiong then we learn swimming at the table..............aiya!!!!bro. next time play mahjong, don't rush...now you see...your car needs repair and going to police station is a very tedious process as well as the insurance claim......but thanks God you are okay......no matter how much you win at the mahjong table it cannot compensate the damage if you are critically injured.....so be careful the next time.......and still you have the mind to talk about the 3 coloured gambling house

and as for Thomas's 'mata-liak-chat' game, he'll be busy going up and down the steps of the police HQ sorting out his stolen car......hope he'll get back his car ASAP.....the case needs to go through court.....very tedious process....

  50. David,
Why is PCK expected to come back from Tiongkok half his size.. i remember in 1970 my dad brought 1 Singer pedal sewing machine, 3 Raleigh bicycles, 2 Rolex watches and tons of re-sellable stuff(we found out later all were sold off!) from Hong Kong to Swatow via Canton by rail and road. My dad came back really kempis coz didn't want to eat his brother's family ration, and worked through the sh-- of his pants to pay off his debts incurred in his 'farn tong san' pilgrimage.
PCK, hope to see the pck that i met in your back to the future trip k.. Trips to China nowadays are different yes...
    Unc Fatt Khiong,
Today i bertelur your car plate first.. just now in BDC kedai kuning so many2 people; and my kids were with me. My adik laki2 taught me how to write and tikam at the kedai kuning sahaja. i didn't know that swimming at the table will kena saman. Play2 with ka ki nang also kena? Like that, i got no chance to learn swimming in dry pool liau.. swam in wet pool once but adik laki2 forgot to tell me how to release breath to come up, so i walked a bit on the pool floor then my adik and kakak dived in to drag me up.. so su ku yeah?
    David,
You will know more of the aliens' antics later. By the way, the creator of that blog is nicknamed MARTIAN... Thanks for your sincere comments about their initial set-up. Will inform them but that is if they understand our human lingo...

  52. Hi, Working Committee Members & Anonymous HHH

This morning myself, Siong Moh, Thomas Koh & Ricky Ma went to the school to hand over the donation which was passed to me by Anonymous HHH. The money was handed over to the Principal Mr. Bong withnessed by POh Meng Eng, Isabella Wong and a few teachers. We were told that we were the first group from the pioneers 1 & 2 to step foot into the VIP Room. We had breakfast at the new canteen, tour the Industrial Arts block classrooms where some of those things that we used during our time were still intake.... would be glad if the school authority could make the place a museum to house those things including other artifacts........and we also visited the burned down Science block classrooms.......that was one beautiful nostalgic tour...

...photos taken by me will be download by Thomas Koh very soon for your comments, please!!

  53. Anyong haseyo to everyone! Salam from us in SMKBKNo.1@KTGSS.
Affirmative follow-up to David's info; the four old boys were punctual, in fact early. Thomas was his usual self, entertaining us with Ricky's idiosyncracies which ring similar bells ie. long hair, modified shirts and pants, and other su ku anecdotes. Everyone felt pretty much at home.. mind you, these guys actually sat in the Principal's room, which was uncommon in your sch days right?
TQVVM to Anonymous HHH; you have been pretty quiet lately. Do come back into this blog and give us a few swings? Reckon the blog admins will aye this request...
    David,
Your point on museum to house artifacts is noted down. We face space constraints with the loss of Block B namely, Physics+Chemistry+Biology labs and 7 classrooms. When, and if, the new block comes up, we will have ample space. Hence, our optimism to see the new building a.s.a.p., and never a day passes by without our prayers to bring it to fruition.
These pioneers entered form 5J(pure Science class) and said hi to the kids. Also told them that they are indeed fortunate to have many fans in their class, which was unheard of in their sch days. Sigh.. those kids probably couldn't imagine how sch life was in your time. Despite the lack of amenities and luxuries, you pioneers turned out very well indeed!
At the staircase, Ricky and Thomas demonstrated their innocent past-time, minus their prey in skirts. You guys know what they were trying to do, i needn't elaborate k...

You makin hebat, come back from Taiwan can play spell reverse game better than before. There is this friend of mine who went to Tiongkok/Shenzhen. He bought a t-shirt with a lable "Guarantee No Shrink". After one washing the shirt kecut. In his next trip tp Szn, he went back to the shop and showed the shopkeeper the wrinkled t-shirt. Shopkeeper calmly said "aiya you Tai-Ma people very funny one... you people read chinese differently. Here in China we read it right to left!" ???^^^~~~!!!!

  66. Hi, Fatt Khiong

This PCK & Poh ME has got humour.......one came back from TAI-WAN improved his 'backward spell' and Poh ME who said her friend bought a T-shirt in 'Tiongkok' with a lable "Guarantee No Shrink"....no 'angmo-jee'...is it "Shrink! No Guarantee"....sounds better for that 'Kecut'.....the writing must be in chinese characters and this friend of Poh ME doesn't read or write chinese.........Ms POH ME!!!!!!!could this friend you mentioned be yourself.....heeeee.....heeeee!!!....just curious....I just read your FB..!!!!

PCK & POH ME.......I've got one 'backward spell'.....I'm drinking from the gum that I have as a sourvenir from KTGSS BB2010 reunion........please find the word in that sentence!!!!??????_______@@@###$$%%%$$^^^&

That t-shirt was labled in angmo, so the chinaman shopkeeper read it like they do in the mainland. But our msian chinese is written from left to right yes...

If you want to buy any things from Tiong Kok, you must be careful or otherwise you will end up being cheated? My friend told me. When they were in Tiong Kok, they saw the mahjong set were very cheap. so they bought one set back. when back and want to play the mahjong with the new mahjong set. My god, the mahjong buah tidak cukup. Next trip they went again. This time they were confident and not being cheated. Four of them, one of them check the soak che, the other check the ban che and so on. After the checking, all of them node the head and said OK and give to the towkay to put it in the plastic bag. They saw the towkay put the mahjong all in the bag and give the bag to them. At that moment no body notice that he had change the bag of mahjong with another bag of mahjong that is not enough(change the dragon turn the phonix) buah and give it to them. So back home and discover the mahjong buah tidak cukup again. Ha...Ha... all of them laugh. So cheap things no good and good things not cheap.

Yes after I finished my form five, I became a temporary teacher and posted to a ulu kampong in simunjan. No acess road. The only transportation
is by water.Wah! river cruise. I remember the first week there, I tidak tahan. After finished the class at 4 pm, I asked some of my students to guide me the jungle track to the town Simunjan. After walking for an hour, they told me that they wanted to go back because it was dark. They told me just followed this jungle track and you will reach Simunjan. So I carry on the jouney alone. The jungle track was very terrible. some part you had to walk on top of the tree trunk as if you were in the circus. One mistake, down you go on the mud. Around 7 pm I reach the town, all my body was covered with mud. From that day on ward, I promised that I will not became a teacher so that is why I join Telekom Malaysia.

  112. This tiger year is not a good start for me. Last week traveling to Sibu I got a fall. Standing at the hotel long bath sampoo my hair and lazy to turn off the tap. I move to the end of the long bath. Sudden I slip and had a falled. It's just like the jockey had a falled from the horse. Shit! Still very painful. The price for lazyness paid.
Last two days my mom(85 years old) also got a falled and she broke her rigth hand. Now landed at Timber Land Specilist center. She was very active and naughty like me. Like mother like son. While the indon maid take bath for her, she move here and there non stop and slipe got a falled. She is mabo already cos she dont even recognise me and call me uncle. Any way, it's god's will, have to accept it. Just came back from hospital. Today no mahjong and all the extra activities are cancel due to unfore seen circumstances.

  145. Hi PCK...throwing one cent coin or any coins for that matter...is to pay toll to whoever unseen guarding the river to enable you to cross safely...this I heard from an old man when crossing to Penang on the ferry many years ago...he he...Now I found out that throwing one cent coins into outdoor water containers filled with water will prevent spread of mosquitoes....the chemical reactions somehow distract the mosquitoes from breeding...Don't know how true but no harm trying...
