Farewell my friend. It was a shock to me when I received the sad news from Thomas this morning. We have just renewed our friendship and you were with us during our last get together last week at Basagah. You were most enthusiastic to meet up old classmates and schoolmates. We will miss you.
ReplyDeleteMy deepest sympathy to the family of the Late Mr Sim Khee Tee.
HE WAS VERY HAPPY TO MEET HIS OLD CLASS & SCHOOL MATES...WE ARE GOING TO MISS HIS JOKES, SMILE & LAUGHTER...

It is very heart breaking to hear someone you know passed away.. It is always very sad...
ReplyDeleteMY HEARTFELT SYMPATHY GOES TO HIS FAMILY.
Words cannot express my sadness and I still cannot not believe that Khee Tee is gone. I was just talking to him via email on Wednesday. I had heaps lot of emails of jokes, etc from him yesterday. Was reading his jokes this morning. Was so sad when I received the news from Thomas after lunch.
ReplyDeleteLife is so delicate. This made it more so important that we make time for family and friends.
It is also a wake up call for friends who are not as fit as what they think.
Khee Tee, I know you are looking down from up there and smiling. If I have a depressing day, I just have to look at those photos in FB. 'Looking 4 a marvellous 1 night stand' on your T-shirt.
Good bye Khee Tee. You are safe in God hand.
My condolence to Khee Tee's family.
i share the sadness and deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolence to the family of the late sim khee tee,
ReplyDeletealso would like to remind those above 40 to go for regular ECG AND BLOOD PRESSURE TEST. THESE ARE TOP SILENCE KILLER. U MAY KNOW MANY OF OUR EX CLASS MATES AND FRIENDS ARE GONE BECAUSE OF THESE KILLER DISEASES
I lost a few friends this year..and I never expect Khee Tee would be next on the list. When i received the sad news via sms from Thomas', I was shock.. I just can't comprehend..my eyes swelled with tears..I was never close with Khee Tee in school. That morning at King centre, he kept apologising he can't remember me and kept thanking me for remembering him as Irene's cousin. He continued to thank me at Basagah. Then he asked me to teach him to send and collect hearts in fb and the next morning, he sent me three hearts. his last message on my fb was "Alice, 3beats/min, A TAN HALUP BOH [can harap or not]?" when I sent him 3 ihearts. yesterday afternoon I decided to check my emails and found he forwarded me many mails among one was of several quotes and yesterday afternoon, I posted one of the quotes on my fb status which I ended with "TQ SKT" [thank u Sim Khee Tee] Plz check my status..
ReplyDeleteI hope we all continue to send each other endless hearts on fb in memory of Khee Tee..
My deepest sympathy to Irene and her children.
To the rest of you...stay strong..take care of your health..
WELL SAID ALICE...U TAKE CARE TOO...
ReplyDeleteIt is sad that Sim Khee Tee is not around..He is a very jovial person, and he do make a big splash and I know that even though a lot of us just get to know him, even though from FB..he leave us with sweet memories.
ReplyDeleteMy deepest sympathy to the family of Sim Khee Tee
So shock and sad that we have lost our friend at this particular time when we are renewing our friendship.
ReplyDeleteRIP and my deepest sympathy to the family of Sim Khee Tee. I know how u feel. Words are hard to express at this sad time.
Dear Classmates and Schoolmates of KTGSS 1970 - 1972.
ReplyDeleteIt's a long, long time of lost friendship since the school days. We might have met but never recognised or knew each other of the same school days we had together. This is the time the KTGSS 70's -72's get together and rekindle that friendship we had from the school days to prosper further in many years to come. We are like "CHIPSMORE - Now You See and NOw You Don't" Never mind who we are today, whether ups or downs we have to treasure this golden memories of friendship for many years to come.
To Ah Choon & Gang, please keep up this beautiful Down Memory Lane Blog for the sack of "F.R.A.N.C.E. - Friendship Remains And Never Can End" and "BLUE - I have many pens. My pens are BLUE. I have many friends. My friends are you.
Deepest CONDOLENCE to the Family of the late Mr. Sim Khee Tee.
SEE YOU ALL IN KTGSS BIG BASH 2010 (40 years younger)
FLOWER POWER & PEACE
Love Always

Hi Thomas, I am David Law's sister Rose. I was with KTGSS from year 1971 - 1975. I am interested to meet up with my classmates or schoolmates during my 'growing pain' years...ha..ha! I do not remember most of my classmates but do remember Alice Wee and hv met Abang(only know him by that name)when I used to live in Miri.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, if anybody wants to contact me, pls write to roselaw99@hotmail.com or call 00673-8991572. I am in Brunei at the moment.
Hi Thomas, how about the theme to be '70's night'
ReplyDeleteThomas & Gang,
ReplyDeleteI would like to propose to you guys if possible, regarding photo attachment of each and everyone of all ex-clasasmates & schoolmates who have been surfing this blog to sent in their latest photo to the blog administrators for display in the archive. This would be much more interesting in advance. They can sent in through their email. I wonder is this possible...
ROSE LAW,
ReplyDeleteIT'S GOOD TO HEAR FROM U AFTER ALL THESE ''MISSING YEARS''...SO WE TAKE IT THAT UR ATTENDANCE IS CONFIRMED?
AS FOR THE THEME, WE WILL CONSIDER UR SUGGESTION... :-))))
DEAR FRIENDS OF THE LATE SIM KHEE TEE,
ReplyDeleteHIS WIFE, IRENE, HAD ASKED ME TO POST THE FOLLOWING...TO CLEAR HIS GOOD NAME...
ON SATURDAY (21/11/09), THE ''BORNEO POST'' MADE A BLATANT BLUNDER IN ITS PUBLICATION OF KHEE TEE'S OBITUARY COLUMN. IN THE OBITUARY, IT WAS STATED THAT KHEE TEE HAD 2 WIVES & A DAUGHTER, WHICH IN ACTUAL WAS NOT THE CASE. THE PUBLICATION IN THE CHINESE NEWSPAPER (SIN CHIEW) WAS CORRECT, STATING IRENE AS HIS WIFE WITH HIS 2 SONS. IT WAS SO DISHEARTENING & EMBARASSING FOR IRENE & HER FAMILY.
THE ''BORNEO POST'' MADE AN APOLOGY IN ITS SUNDAY EDITION (22/11/09), A QUARTER PAGE SIZE...WHICH WAS NOT WHAT THE FAMILY HAD DEMANDED (FULL PAGE)...THE DAMAGE IS IRREPAIRABLE...
IRENE IS CONTEMPLATING OF SUING THEM.
WE WISH IRENE & FAMILY ALL THE BEST & BE STRONG.
Oh this is terrible, I was not aware of it as I was out of town. My heartfelt sympathy to you, Irene and your two sons for going through such agony created such an irresponsible newspaper in your difficult time. You know what best to do next. Be strong and take care, we are all behind you.
ReplyDeleteHi Thomas, Count me in. Looking forward to meeting everybody.
ReplyDeleteHi Rose
ReplyDeleteWhich of Brunei are you in. I am in BSB.
Best regards
Hi Robert
ReplyDeleteI am in BSB, Executive Housing Apt, Rimba. Do you know this place?
What are doing in this part of the world? In my case, me and my husband hv been here since May 2008. Our plan is to be here for about 2 years unless of course there are better prospects in Perth. By the way, our permanent home is in Perth, Australia.
Hi Rose
ReplyDeleteYes I know the Executive Housing Apt,Rimba
I have been in Brunei since 1985. Suppose to come here for 3 months only and that 3 months never expire until to day. I have set up my own business for a while now distributing Fujitsu General Air conditioners in Brunei until Aug 2009 Japan insisted we take over the whole of East Malaysia as well and that why i spend a fair bit of time in Kota Kinabalu until the operation runs smoothly then i will go to Kuching ( alot of work to be done way2 behind Sabah & Brunei as far the brand is concerned).
Just came back from KK a moment ago and going back tomorrow to KK again. Rose you and your hubby want to join us on saturday as guests for our monthly Rotary Club Port Luck? You can call me on 8720672 and plenty of ***** you know what.
Dear All,
ReplyDeleteOn behalf of the family of Sim Khee Tee, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for all your kind words, messages of condolence, gifts , visits and presence during his funeral service.
You have added some colour to his life. He was always full of news about who he met and what went on during those few meetings he had with you all. I had never seen him so eager to switch on the pc until he learnt how to use Facebook...thanks to you guys!
I still can't believe he's gone...every time I hear footsteps upstairs, I thought I'd see him coming down the stairs in a moment...
My fervent prayer now is that I will have the strength and wisdom to guide both sons to be men their daddy will be proud of.
Thank you, all of you...for being his friends..
God bless you all.
Hi Irene
ReplyDeleteI am Robert Lee and I was Khee Tee Class mate. I was so dowm when i learnt Khee Tee's passing. I used to play basketball with him ( for fun ). I have not seen him for the last 37 years and was actually looking forward to meet him and the rest.
Our prayers go to your family and him that god will guide you and two sons and for Khee Tee that he will enjoy eternal life. God always has a purpose for us and when we can accept that all things comes from him only then we come to term with ourselves. i am sure that with your strong will you will be able to overcome this difficult moment and look forward. My wife Sus, myself and our children will pray for your family and we wish god will shower his blessings upon you and your sons. Stay Strong
Hi Irene
ReplyDeleteI am really shocked when I learnt of Khee Tee's passing. He looked so fit and happy sitting next to his beautiful wife at Basagah. Irene, I empathise with you. Words cannot describe the emptiness of losing a love one but for the sake of the children, life must go on. I am confident you can make it. Have courage. Be strong. May God be with you always.
Hi Irene,
ReplyDeleteAlthough,Khee Tee and me were not classmates but we were both in the school table tennis team (1971) and the basketball team (1971&1972).I still remember he could run and dribble the basketball very fast. When we met at the "Basagah",he was very enthusiastic to gather news especially his ex-classmates and as you said Fb.He even asked me where is Robert Lee and my answer:many years ago in Brunei but maybe now in Phillipines, this information from Robert's friend,Raymond Goh.As everyone have said, stay strong and God bless.
Siong Moh
ReplyDeleteOnly been to the Phillipines once and that was after the revolt i think somtime in 1990. At one time i used to travel to Bruma very month for a week as the company i worked with appointed me to be MD of their Burma operation. After 11/2 years i advice the board of directors to close the company. My God so many red tapes and not worth the while. That's my only outside Brunei work.
Robert, Iris, Siong Moh..
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind words.
