  7. Hi Joo,
RM6150 in cheque; RM500 handed in by David much earlier. With Unc FKhiong, PCK, David, {forgive me, can't recall one name but the receipt is with Isabella], at the moment a conservative estimate, RM7k.
Today the Harimau mouth closed for Labour Day, so Anthony couldn't use it; that is one more source which isn't added into Pioneers' cookie jar.

Two days ago, our lil kids turned 'waiters for a day' when Isabella sat down on a cement ferro seat at the table+seats set donated by Riam College. One cheeky boy asked her "Sing seh, lu ai chiak hamik?", with a piece of paper and pen ready to take food and drink orders. Nearby was the first cement ferro bench also pledged by family of a late Townian. There are more of such pledges to come in the next few weeks esp from private colleges which were approached by our Mdm Mary Ting, Head of School Resource Centre to create reading benches in tandem with the Gem Reading Project(NILAM)initiated by the ministry many years ago.
In contrast to a few hard-to-please guardians@parents, those private institutions have no obligations to contribute but they have shown a caring humanistic spirit. Though some would point that these colleges have vested interest in our products/school leavers,it is undeniable that our KT kids are their future clients. Hence, this bridge-building between our school and the private education community is actually heralding a continuous stewardship of producing capable employees for the competitive job market. This type of partnership is actually propounded in the Pelan Induk Pembangunan Pendidikan@Education Development Blueprint 2008.

  19. Installation of the ventilators and insulators is done. It provides relief (though the students refuses to admit - they expected air con atmpsphere) according to the teachers. The next phase is the construction of a PVC black net shed (something like an orchid shed) to block out the glare and direct sunlight. It will house the Form Six Garden!

  20. Joo, thanx! Welcome to share the Too Kar.

  23. Hi PCK,But Malaysian Thomas Cup team put up a uninspiring performance by going down 2-3 to Japan last night...? What went wrong? Is it a strategy...to avoid China before the finals?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hi, Siong Moh & PCK

I was glued to my TV watching the Thomas Cup.....you're right, that was not an uninspiring performance....but by the look of the last 3 matches, the players did not really go all out for the win.....after the match there was another draw for the quarter final.....Malaysia was lucky to have drawn with Denmark.....what if with China or Indonesia...??????

Last night's game with Denmark was tense.....2nd single & double played well but lose to a much stronger opponent.......3rd single was fantastic beating a weaker opponent.....Denmark's 3rd single out of focus by always turning back to get his confidence from the coach....did not concentrate on his game........semi-final game with CHINA...my prediction is China 60 - Malaysia 40 and a win would see them meeting INDONESIA

  30. Anonymous, you think it is easy to collect the donation kah. You wandering where the money kept before handling over to PIGB. Alot of people like you said want to donate but come with a delay cheque. So they need time to collect the donation. Dont worry your donation was handed over to PIGB already. The grand Pop like me, Uncle Fatt Khiong wont simply spell curse on good people but for bad people yes.
