  3. GT I think we should say 40 that is when the school got started in 1970. Everyone please suggest and I am thinking we should prepared something for the teachers and anybody can donate or say just chip in anythings you think you can. Okay...

    ReplyDelete
  4. I would suggest we count the exact year cos the school KTGSS started in the year 1970. BIG BASH is in year 2010. Can we name it 2010-1970= 40 years, so I think we should agree with Ivy.

  5. LOOKS LIKE SUGGESTIONS ARE POURING IN...THANKS GUYS.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Haha, what was I thinking then ? At 51, my Maths is failing me. Of course, it is 40 years. I remembered ChinChiang told us its 50 years and stupid me cannot count already.... My apologies.
Donation are most welcomed. We should set a minimum contribution, say RM50 per person and start collecting. Samuel is good in collection as seen in our last get together. On second thought, maybe RM50 might be too little to find a comfortable place. If it is too much, some might not bother. What do you think guys? Ex teachers will be free.

    ReplyDelete
  7. A GOOD SUGGESTION BY TED YONG...THAT TEACHERS BE EXEMPTED FROM PAYING...SHOWING OUR APPRECIATION TO THEM.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Suggest that we use JUBLIEE HALL @ Jalan Padungan 4 the BIG BASH DINNER..............

  29. As mentioned earlier by Joo Sim,will our MYR50/pax stretched that far, but if a bit too expensive, will it discourage participation!!Hope not.Consider the additional costs:10pax free for ex-teachers at MYR500;Rental of Venue/Hall at MYR800,if not included in food price;Rental of Karaoke/Equipmets/DJ at MYR800(Maybe Jeffri Lenny can help us);Backdrop Banner at MYR200;Small gifts for invited ex-teachers at MYR200(option);Lucky Draws, optional, but can look for sponsors like Nelson GK Lim(Westgate Partners) and Tommy Sim(Chillipeppers). Both are sucessful ex-townians.Tom is Lucy Sim's brother.

Mia Heng, believe me the hole on the fence has been patched up long ago. Evidence lost. But I remember you guys doing that. Who wants to be in BM class? It was boring and we used to do whatever we want. That Chikgu didn't mind. But I regretted because my BM regressed!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Robert, say 'Hello' to her. I'm Hwang Joo (that was what I was called in school) and have been wondering all these years where she is and what she is doing. I think we were in the same primary school as well. Her grandpa used to take her to school.

  98. Angray,

Anna Sim Pah Moi should still be in Brisbane. I met her or rather bumped into her 2 years ago when her husband, Yeo Kok Hua brought us to the house. I could not recognised her but she called me. Unfortunately, I do not have her contact. Anybody know how to reach her ?

    ReplyDelete
  99. Guan Ted, do you have Anna Sim's contact? I'll be in Brisbane at some stage next year because my son is studying in Queensland U.

Rose Law, I'm equally excited to meet you after all these years. Remember we used to walk to your house along Chawan Rd (I think it is what it was called). Where are you now?

    ReplyDelete
  100. Hi Samuel, you have no idea how excited I felt when i am now in touch with almost everyone I could remember. Some nights, i lie awake trying to remember names. I remeber names like Irene, John, Alan Choo, a Jamilah as well(cannot remember last name). Oh God! I hope I get to meet everyone before I get too old and forget.

  103. Hi Rose, Didn't know you are in Perth. How long ago was that? We were there in 2002 to visit a Uni mate of mine. I have been in Melbourne since 1977. Our permanent home and have been a citizen since 1988. Now working in HK since end of 2002 because of my hubby's posting. Now we are HK Permanent resident; for work only. Miss Melbourne. My son is in Queensland U, so I travel to Brisbane as well. If my daughter gets into Adelaide U next year, I'll be trotting there as well. We are going back for Xmas, and if you are in Melbourne for a holiday, call me on 0438 803 899.

I was in Perth 2003 and became a citizen 2008. My husband is a brit by birth but we are now both aussies.

Don't think we'll be going anywhere near australia this year. We'll be going to HK this 30th Dec - 3rd Jan for this holiday season, staying at the Intercontinental Grand Stanford. Wanted to stay at The Peninsula but its a bit too pricey at this time.

Anyway, when are you travelling back for the reunion.

Wishing you all this coming year to be better than all the others. Remember to do some of the things you've always wanted to do but couldn't find the time. Don't forget to call up a forgotten friend. Drop an old grudge, and replace it with some pleasant memories. Walk tall, and smile more. You'll look ten years younger. Don't be afraid to say, 'I love you' and give a hug.

Merry X'mas and a very great New Year.
